FAO Korea Liaison Office Director Dr. Shengyao Tang Delivered Special Lecture at GIST

Dr. Shengyao Tang, Director of the FAO Korea Liaison Office, visited GIST to deliver a special lecture on building resilient agrifood systems through innovation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. During the visit, GIST President Kichul Lim and Dr. Tang discussed collaborative initiatives to develop and globally disseminate research based on global agendas, aiming to strengthen partnerships among local governments, universities, research institutions, and businesses in the Gwangju/Jeollanam-do region.

On March 17, GIST AI Policy & Strategy Graduate School organized a specialized panel discussion on "AI, Robot, and the Meaning of Labour" at GIST Building A, Room 111. The event featured Professor Nicky Dries of Belgium's Leuven University (Associate Editor of Journal of Management) who presented her research, alongside a research proposal by Professor Kibae Kim of GIST, followed by a panel discussion with distinguished participants including Professor Jun Koh (Director of the Honam Branch of the IT Service Society) and Professor Yongdeuk Choi, both from Chonnam National University.

The AI-Eco Lab successfully launched its official website, providing a comprehensive digital platform to showcase the lab's research activities, team members, and ongoing projects. The new website offers visitors easy access to information about the lab's mission, research focus areas, and latest news, while also serving as a central hub for communication with collaborators and the wider academic community.
